Type is sexy

Typography offers us a form to reflect on, enables us to see language through a complex set of symbols. Although present in every area of everyday life, having come down to us through History and fixed numerous milestones in our culture, it is nevertheless an area of knowledge that remains mysterious to non-professionals. Type is sexy harbours the ambition of giving typography back the flavour of its history and the taste of its contemporary creations.

With its 3 component parts: « art, édition, musique & typographie », « Helvetica mon amour » et « intempestive esperluette », this exhibition invites the public to discover this aspect of graphic design, which we use every day on our computer keyboard, some of us favouring thick strokes or thin strokes, others indifferent to the adventures hidden behind the name of a font.
