The relation between design and comic strips is rich in significance in many respects: historical, formal, aesthetic,
etc. The Design bande dessinée exhibition is a project of the Firminy Historical Society which commissioned
the Leblon-Delienne agency for the scenography. It associates original creations of furniture inspired by the
golden age of comic strips from the 1950's to the 1970's, with full size figurines of characters in a chateau of
classical 18th century architecture.
