Laetitia & Louise Belala have been involved since 2008 in a photographic project where empathy is the driving force. Throughout the year customers of family restaurants pose behind the bar counter in the place of the owners. The resulting photographs are images of captured instants, meals and shared moments. Every two years this initiative intersects the trajectory of the Saint-Etienne International Design Biennial. It softly chants another melody, in phase with the imperceptible which makes up our daily routine, Comme à la maison.
