matali crasset is an industrial designer by training. She began her career in the 1990s with Denis Santachiara in Italy and Philippe Starck in France. In the early 2000s, she set up her own studio, matali crasset productions, seeing design as an ongoing process of research. She works from a decentralised position which allows her both to design for daily life and to plan for future scenarios. She brings an expert and at the same time fresh perspective on the world, and questions the obviousness of codes to better overcome them. She defines this research as a gentle accompanying step towards the contemporary.
