With degrees in Management and History of Art, Lise Coirier set up Pro Materia a Creative Design Consultancy Agency in 1999. She is the author of several books and an exhibition curator. She also founded the design platform for celebrating public space and the Human Cities events that use it, while organising three such festivals in Brussels and Istanbul between 2010 and 2012. In parallel to her research on social innovation and contemporary design techniques, in 2008 she founded TL Magazine, of which she is now associate publisher and editor-in-chief. She is also chief design editor of ArchiStorm magazine.
