Made in China
Made in China has become much more than a simple indication of origin, it now amounts to a hot iron brand, the symbol of a certain society of production and consumption, repetitiveness in object and work itself.
The image that has become entrenched over time is that of piles of identical goods made in record time by underpaid unskilled workers with no durability or hope of ever being left to our grandchildren.
